The Keeper project, to which university and private partners from Italy, France and Austria are contributing, was recently funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC) within the framework of the ‘EIC Transition’ call for proposals, which aims to support the improvement and the laboratory validation of new technologies developed within the framework of European subsidised projects and their introduction onto the market.

The role of Politecnico di Milano will be to coordinate the project and to develop innovative security materials.

COMPLEX MEDIA OPTICS LAB AT LKB

The “Complex Media Optics Lab” at Laboratoire Kastler-Brossel focuses on imaging in complex media, with experience also in mesoscopic physics, optical computing, nonlinear microscopy and quantum optics, with strong emphasis in computational imaging (phase retrieval, compressive sensing, machine learning, ptychography, etc). While the LKB is world-wide known for their three Noble Prizes in fundamentals of quantum mechanics, more recently it has also put up succsefull stories of enterpreneuship through three spin-offs.

The role of Day One will be to improve the exploitation of research results through user centered design approach to product development and business model validation.
