The Keeper project, to which university and private partners from Italy, France and Austria are contributing, was recently funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC) within the framework of the ‘EIC Transition’ call for proposals, which aims to support the improvement and the laboratory validation of new technologies developed within the framework of European subsidised projects and their introduction onto the market.
DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY
NanoLab, the project coordinator, is focused on the production and characterization of novel materials carbon based but not only. Our mission is to study their optical, electrical, and chemical properties for understanding fundamental physical phenomena and for technological applications. The role of Politecnico di Milano will be to coordinate the project and to develop innovative security materials.
COMPLEX MEDIA OPTICS LAB AT LKB
The “Complex Media Optics Lab” at Laboratoire Kastler-Brossel focuses on imaging in complex media, with experience also in mesoscopic physics, optical computing, nonlinear microscopy and quantum optics, with strong emphasis in computational imaging (phase retrieval, compressive sensing, machine learning, ptychography, etc). While the LKB is world-wide known for their three Noble Prizes in fundamentals of quantum mechanics, more recently it has also put up succsefull stories of enterpreneuship through three spin-offs.
VARIUSCARD
It is an Austrian company specialized in plastic card for end-to-end solutions. The role of Variuscard will be to validate the system on an industrial environment, testing on real products and packaging the systems developed.
DAY ONE
It is a deep-tech Innovation Studio that helps researchers and start- ups take their innovations to the market. We provide support in requirements analysis, business development and validation to innovation project, building products and companies from low TRL to successful business. The role of Day One will be to improve the exploitation of research results through user centered design approach to product development and business model validation.
ENIGMA
ENIGMA is the Italian company that aims to support the safety and traceability of products at risk of counterfeiting. The company is active on the Italian market and offers solutions ranging from the protection of documents to the traceability of industrial products using technologically innovative solutions coming from the most recent academic discoveries, and from the combination of hardware and software devices to meet to the increasing needs of customers dealing with modern imitation and falsification techniques.
